About this Item
Tracy, speaking through Sirov of Kankir, presents an affectionate but honest view of Armenia during the last gasp of the Ottoman Empire. Armenia is seen as an island in time due to the lack of development forced upon it by the Ottomans, as well as the Ottoman-supported widespread massacres, famines, and destructions of property. This copy has a dedication by Edith Wherry Muckleston, making it a very rare association copy. Minor soiling of boards, and slight shelf-wear to spine. Seller Inventory # AN278
