18 x 11.5 cm. 12mo. [9] 261pp. Bound in publisher's green blind-stamped cloth with gilt spine lettering. Beings with 8 page publisher's catalogue dated July, 1859. First edition, first issue without the printer's imprint on the verso of the title page. "Albert the Good" by Tennyson cut out of a different publication and pasted onto the reverse of the contents page and "A Welcome" by Tennyson pasted onto the rear endpaper. Spine is faded.
