Octavo; publisher's maroon blind-embossed cloth, gilt-lettered spine; [4],348pp. Light scuffing to cloth margins with very tiny spots of exposure at corners, spine a bit cocked and gilt significantly dulled, textblock uniformly toned, else a Very Good, internally clean and sound copy. Uncommon post-World War I locked room murder mystery involving a dinner party with thirteen guests, all but one of whom are found unconscious at the end of the evening. The exception is the guest-of-honor, who has been murdered by poison. Seller Inventory # 30395
