Publisher's ochre-coloured boards with red-impressed cover signature to the bottom right-hand corner of the front board and red lettering to the spine. A contemporary gift inscription to the front free end-paper and a bookseller's ticket to the front paste-down otherwise a bright and clean near fine copy in the uncommon dustwrapper priced 6s net to the inside flap (as called for). The dustwrapper has rubbing/creasing and a touch of loss at the spine tips and several, tiny, closed edge tears. A nicer copy. than normally seen of this post-war Blyton first edition.
