Robert Hale Ltd 1961, 1961. First UK edition. RARE - predates US hardcover - the basis for the iconic Paul Newman film. Octavo, red heavy card boards with black lettering to spine, 156pp, Book is near fine except for a scraped patch on the rear board (see picture). The dust wrapper is also near fine and not price clipped with just some very sympathetic (and almost imperceptible) restoration to head and foot of spine (see picture of back of dw).
