McKelvie & with ms genealogical notes of Salem Female Academy alumnae from the pre-Civil War era to 1950 of the Reude-Chitty-Stroupe-McKelvie-Fry families. (On the blank verso of p.353). Also with some hand notes in the Lists & Statistics. One page ms letter on Salem College letterhead dated Feb 11, 1964 laid-in. It indicates the Salem Female Academy principals from Dr. Clewell (the author of the work), 1888-1909, to the current principal inaugarated in 1950. Brick red buckram printed in gilt, rubbed with wear & fraying to corners, edges & extremities. Inner paper joints cracked, sheets clean. A good+ used copy. H5288. Seller Inventory # 8096
