Hard cover in red cloth with gold gilt lettering to front cover. Boards are worn at edges and corners, still nice and square. Front cover has some damage, appears to have had some sort of caustic liquid on it at one time in the distant past. See attached photos. Internally, front end papers split at hinge, hinge somewhat weakened, still well attached. Previous owner's name in pencil on ffep obverse, otherwise internally nice and clean throughout. An interesting history of the Grand Rapids fire department, includes photos of all fire stations at the turn of the century, other interesting historical photos.
