Complete 4 volume set. All but volume 1 are FIRST EDITION. Vol. 1 is a second edition, published in May 1956, only one month later than the first edition. The jackets have wear mainly at top and base of spine with Vols. 2 & 4 being the most affected as shown in pictures. Vol. 1 & 3 are not price clipped. All are in clear, removable protective covers. Minor wear to red cloth boards of all books at corners and at top & base of spines. All books have tight bindings and are unmarked throughout. Pale brown spotting on the page edges of Vols. 1, 2 & 4. The interiors of all books are bright and clean and unmarked with no inscriptions but there is light brown spotting on endpapers in all books but for Volume 3 which is in particularly good condition.
