It is a 'large paper' Deluxe Edition with wide margins, gilt top edge and title page printed in red and clack with illustration. Portrait frontispiece of the Marquis of Breadalbane with hunting dog. Illustrations in the text and plates - all present with tissue guards . Includes two colour plates of curling stones. With the catalogue of sport and natural history books at the back dated May 1890. Covers all aspects of curling. A beautiful copy: recently rebound in red, half leather over cloth, gilt title and decoration to spine, top edge gilt, all sharp and clean, binding strong, all very clean. A superior copy. Pagination: xiv + [2] + 440pp + 16-page catalogue to the rear. Size is 18 cm by 27 cm. A very heavy book which will attract additional postage from international buyers.
