Published by Jean P. Thoulez Editeur in Belgium in 197? Limited numbered edition of 50. Incredible 1970 s collection of six serigraphs by obscure Belgian artist Claude Galand, an amazing hybrid of Pop Art, Surrealism, and bande dessinee, with comic-monstrous insects and apocalyptic tableaux. The prints, all signed by the artist at bottom and with vivid colors, measure 14 by 10.5 , and are housed inside a printed thick paper folder. Bizarre and utterly commanding artwork by a wholly overlooked underground 70 s artist. The only other info I have on him is a self-published book from 1975 collecting eroto-comic Surrealist drawings, in the tradition of countryman Marcel Marien (OCLC shows only two holdings of this book, both in Europe). This portfolio is super rare and the prints are stunning and well-preserved, all separated by loose tissue guards. Light wear to the outer folder. Seller Inventory # ABE-5120410158250694316
