About this Item
Octavo. 24 pp., frontis, map. First edition. In original wrappers with bifolium map at the rear. A bright copy but for some wear to the spine and a chip to the top corner of the front wrapper. An uncommon history a small engagement often, according to the author, thought of as a blunder. In this short history, White presents an argument supported by Official Records that Generals Stone and Evans "had really well-defined purpose and plans and played the game with skill and intelligence" (p. 3). Uncommon in the trade. Dornbusch III, 1514. Seller Inventory # 7038
