Bevelled green buckram boards with gilt illustration and titles to front cover and spine, a little shelf worn and bumped. Coloured plate to frontispiece. Profusely illustrated throughout with sepia photographs of both people and places. Light damp stain to rear board inside and out and consequent water stain to top of index pages. Neat ownership inscription in ink to verso of ffep. Minor ink scribbles to half-title page and verso of frontispiece. Hinges cracked. Rear ep missing. Some small tears to a handful of pages.
