These are "Gospel Sermons", sermons selected from the ancient church from the four Gospels as texts to be expounded upon t the congregation. This volume comprises the first half of these Gospel Lessons. These sermons were not originally written for print but to be preached to a congregation. These are called Country Sermons as Rev.
