Stated First Edition. You can see the yellow covers in the photographs. They are very clean. They have fairly minor wear, a few small bump/creases, two at the corners, one off the top edge of the rear cover. There's a little bit of creasing at the spine ends. The design on the front cover and the lettering on the spine are both very bright. The book is very solidly bound. There are no binding issues at all. The page are exceptionally clean. In scrolling through I didn't see any soiling. They are also in very good condition I didn't see any creasing. There are no markings. No attachments. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. There is an illustration on the title page where it also states 'Decorations' by Clotilde Embree Funk (that name in itself is a 'decoration' of some sort. In scrolling through the pages I didn't see any other 'decorations'. Perhaps they are referring to the cover and dust jacket illustrations. Kinda funny or funky. Included with the book is a Longmans Green & Company calling card (7 by 3 inches) which says 'We take pleasure in sending you this book for review.' It notes the price of the book and the publication date and asks the reviewer to send two copies of the review back to the the Longmans 5th Avenue New York address. You can see the dust jacket in the first few photographs. I think its held up quite well. The 'Minus' in my rating is due to a very small loss off the top edge of the rear (third photo). Otherwise, there's just a little bit of soiling on the spine, and very light edge wear. The jacket is NOT price-clipped. The flaps are in very good condition.
