The scrap book album belongs to Dorothy Bradford who attended North Central High School, in Spokane, WA. A portion of the album also covers her time at Havermale Junior High School. The first third of the album is full of newspaper clippings dealing with either her or her friends at North Central. The rest of the majority of the album are various pieces of memorabilia, such a programs, greeting cards, cloth sport letters dance cards, and ribbons. There approximately 40 photographs, of which half are head shots of fellow classmates. The rest show her and her friends engaged in a variety of activities, such as musical performances and a 'doll show'. There is one image of Dorothy where she appears to be dressed up as Hitler with the caption "Heil!" underneath. Dorothy was an avid tennis player and was president of the Girls League. She was also a member of the orchestra, which makes sense as her father, Lowell Bradford (who was crippled with infantile paralysis since childhood) was the Musical Director at North Central High School. At the back of the album is a pressed carnation that Dorothy presented to her at a Girls League event. The album itself is a first edition published in 1925 by Reilly & Lee Company in Chicago. It is arranged by Janet Madison and decorate by E. J. McDonald. It is a photographic/scrap book album, with numerous blank pages for its future owners to fill. Blue cloth covers with elaborate gilt floral design and lettering on the front. String-tied binding. Original printed publishers box with a few broken joints. Measures 9" x 8" Dorothy Bradford was born on March 10, 1917 in Spokane, WA to Lowell Clarence Bradford (1894-1979) and Lottie Faith Bradford, nee Grantham, (1892-1975). Her father was the Musical Director at the local public high school, North Central High School. Both Dorothy and her younger brother, Jack G. Bradford (c1921-1951), would attend this high school. Dorothy graduated high school in 1935 and did continue her college education, most likely at Washington State University. It is unknown if she completed her degree. At some point, Dorothy married Harold Greeley. She passed away in January 2008. Seller Inventory # 28004100
