Fascinating look at the history of Jews in Portugal up to the mid-19th century. Part of the series "Schriften" herausgegeben vom Institut zur FÃ rderung der israelitischen Literatur. Some age wear on binding with heavy rubbing along joints, edges of covers, corners and on spine. 2.5" closed tear on lower front joint. Gold tooling and lettering partly rubbed. Minor foxing on endpapers. Previous owner's signature on free front endpaper. Age-toning along paper margin. Text in German, gothic script.
