Oversize 15.5 x 12-inch enclosure containing the 83-page treatise on the known archaeological sites within London, their current known state, and those sites believed lost to development. Includes a fold-out with six illustrations of London's development through the early Roman to the Post Medieval periods. What makes this publication essential to the researcher is the large (15.5 x 24-inch) map of London and its accompanying eight velum overlays identifying known archaeological sites in relation to present-day London. The enclosure has some age wear to corners and a 1" tear to the upper corner of the flap. The map and overlays are in fine condition with hard creases in the center from where they are folded into the case. Book likewise is in fine condition.
