It was built for the enjoyment of thousands.a structure in its time that "was never rivaled for the grace, elegance, and outright lavishness" it encompassed. This 380-page volume presents the most comprehensive history of a single movie theatre ever compiled, including the personalities who gave it life. Photographs, many dating from the opening and before, plus those during the years of public service, were selected from more than 1300 views, both black and white, and color. There is a complete list of the feature films shown and their grosses. In addition, there are floor plans, architectural blueprints, and a wide variety of newspaper ads describing some of the attractions. Book has slight tanning to its end papers.
