British (new and revised) edition, first printing, 1899. No jacket as issued. 303 pages plus 8 pages of publisher's adverts to rear. Illustrated by J. Ley Pethybridge. All illustrations are present and in very good condition. Green boards with gold lettering to spine and black/red lettering to front with design are very good with a little pushing/bumping to corners, minor patchy browning (including to spine), the odd small mark, odd minor bump/rub to edges and a little wear (pushing/rubbing/very small splits to the cloth) to head/tail of spine. Pages are generally clean and the binding is tight. Rough cut page edges, tops and bottoms have the odd very small mark/spots of foxing. Pages little tanned. Very occasional small marks/scattered foxing to pages. No other faults. A nice copy. All books described honestly and accurately. Paypal accepted. Seller Inventory # 008341
