A strange collection of eight short prose pieces, written by a polymath and curiously divided. The tone is sophomoric, satiric, poetic, didactic narrative. A piece on psychiatry, is "The Frog Who Got Too Big for His Breeches." Nothing can help Freddie the Frog until the psychiatrist prescribes a swelled head, the perfect balance for his problem of being overbig for his breeches. Another story, on poetics, speaks of a leaf that wants to be free of its tree and fly like a bird. Tiny chip at the top edge and bottom spine of the dust jacket which is showing very light soiling.
