First edition Hodder & Stoughton, London 1911 (ND) in a facsimilia dust wrapper. viii, 304, 8p, 8vo. Original brown cloth with black and white titles to front board along with a stylized eye decoration in black, green and white. The spine has black t titles with green and black decorations with a blind stamped eye. Only 150 copies of this binding were published before Hodder changed to a plainer binding. The wrapper is lightly shelf worn and rolled to edges. The boards are a little rubbed and shelf worn with rolling to top and tail of spine. Pencil notes and blind stamped owner name to front free endpaper with an ink name dated 1911 to half title. Light to moderate foxing to the first and last 20 pages.
