VG- in VG- dustwrapper. First edn of a compilation of extracts from Buchan's monumental history of the Great War. This was published at a time of increasing concern about a further global conflict and is much more scarce than the similar volume of Naval Episodes. Light blue boards bright with a little staining to the R. Corners lightly rubbed. Spine slightly sunned with a tiny nick in the tail. Internally very clean and bright with just v slight browning of the EPP. All plates in excellent order and binding tight. Scarce d/j is unclipped and substantially intact. The spine is sunned and has a little wear at the ends and there is a little browning around the edges of the front and rear panels. Blanchard A117. Seller Inventory # B1553
