Published in parts in Paris between 1831-1832 this four volume set describes the English School of Art and consists of titles and 288 steel engraved plates each accompanied by descriptive texts in English and French. A very good set half bound in green leather with marbelled boards and endpapers and spines marked inplaces (see photos). Each volume has a modern ex libris plate attached to its ffep. All volumes t.e.g. with some minor foxing throughout. A difficult set to find. Seller Inventory # 000694
