Seven Encyclopedia Diderot Plates (Engravings). Size: Outer edge: 26 x 39.5 cm.; Inner edge: 20 x 31 cm. N.D. Date stated is an approximation. French text. Printed on cream coloured rag paper. A signature or sheaf of seven related prints with original twine binding intact. Removed from a fascicule of the Encyclopedie Diderot (1751-1772). Margins age-toned. Thirteen cm. strip of crown edge severely chipped, to a depth of 2.5 cm. Scattered fx-ing along all margins and versos. Several insect perforations to fore-edges. Bernard Fecit listed on prints. Plate Titles: Verrerie Angloise, Pl. I; Verrerie Angloise, Pl. II; Verrerie Angloise, Pl. III; Vitrier, Outils, Pl. I; Vitrier, Outils, Pl. II;Vitrie, Filiere et developpemens, Pl. III; Vitrier, Details et Outils. Pl. IV. The first three prints depict the layout of a glass works and its exterior views. The other four prints portray the tools of the glass workers trade.
