1st Edition. Poet, Philosopher, Mystic, Magician, Aleister Crowley! First Edition of THE EQUINOX OF THE GODS but not first printing. Copyright page 1937 but this is a later issue. Quarto, vi + 138pp (+ 65 folded single sheets- facsimile of the original manuscript of the book, printed recto only is contained in a pocket folder glued at the inside rear of the edition). Size: 8 1/2" x 11". Original white boards with gilt stamping on the spine. All pages printed in black unlike the true first edition which was in red and black. Also the illustrations are in black and white as well. Some toning and sunning but overall in very good condition. A rare example of Crowley's in-depth explorations and significant work within his body of literature and offers valuable insights into his esoteric teachings. Crowley presents his personal experiences and revelations related to The Book of the Law, exploring its symbolism, rituals, and the role of Horus as a central deity in Thelema. The book offers insights into Crowley's magical and mystical practices, his understanding of the spiritual evolution of humanity, and his vision for the future of his religious movement.
