First edition. Red cloth boards with black lettering on the spine and front, along side insignia. Edges of boards are well thumbed and rubbed, with the occasional scuff mark on front, back and spine. Head and tail of spine bumped, rounded and rubbed raw. Head and tail corners also bumped, rounded and bear some wear and tear.Book leans a little to the right. Binding is tidy, with small and minor splits emerging at free endpapers. Spine sunned, well discoloured and showing wear. Free endpapers, pastedowns, title pages and most pages throughout bear some degree of discolouration and light foxing towards the bind. Previous owner's rubbed inscription upon front free endpapers. Page edges are well discoloured and foxed, particularly at the head edge.
