8vo. [3]2-81[4]p. Illustrated with 19 black and white captioned photos, including one inside the front cover and one inside the back cover. Cream colored wrappers printed in brown and with a vignette in brown on the front cover of a sleeping buffalo. Just touches of wear it to the extremities, wrappers ever so lightly soiled, corners mainly square and flat except for the lower rear corner which has been creased, all photos in fine condition, else near fine to fine with no internal markings. Born in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan of pioneer stock, Philip S. Long knew the ranching country of that province and of Montana because he spent a good deal of time in both places. He went to school riding nine miles to and from the great ranch and finished his education at Bozeman, Montana. He has worked as a cowboy, steam engineer, musician (drums, piano and-band leader) and publisher of a small weekly newspaper. This book is a narrative history of the early development of the Sleeping Buffalo Resort, but it also includes narrative on the Bowdoin Oil Dome and the drilling of Bowdoin Well #2. Long he is also the author of 70 YEARS OF COWBOY, JERRY POTTS: SCOUT, FRONTIERSMAN, AND HERO, and GREAT CANADIAN. Seller Inventory # 009523
