Reproductions of period dog art; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 223 pages; Snugly bound and clean in original illustrated dust jacket with publisher's "three dollars" price printed to the jacket spine panel. Binding of dark green cloth with pictorial paper title label to upper board but smaller label apparently detached and missing from spine. Dust jacket is surface and edge rubbed with small chip missing from crown of spine panel, not affecting title lettering, and some shallow chips from edges and corners. Light soling and general toning to jacket surfaces; titles to spine and pictorial title design to cover panel remain bright and distinct. Expected mild toning to page stock. A small spot of adhesion between the glossy photo pictorial frontis and the title page has left a small scar to the surface of the frontis plate. Illustrated with numerous glossy paper plates reproducing images of dogs from all recorded eras of human history, up to the 20th century.
