Octavo. . 218 pages. He argued (unlike Schopenhauer) that women were equal to men in many areas of intellect but also often made sounder decisions. He believed in women's suffrage but took a dislike to some of the striden suffragists. He stood in deep appreciation for the strong, independent woman while many of the male dominated institutions from the business world to universities of that era felt the place of women was in the home. Inscription of previous owner from Rex to Stell who needs no defense!
