The author commends this book to: Teachers of Plumbing and their Pupils, Plumbers and those who Contract to do Plumbing and Drainage, Medical Officers of Health and Sanitary Inspectors, and Householders, that they may be awakened to a sense of the possible dangers that lurk beneath well-made floors and neatly-papered walls, it being significant that a large proportion of the defects described are in the houses of the well-to-do.
