About this Item
First edition, first printing. Publisher's red cloth, lettered in black to spine; in the original two-toned green dust jacket, lettered in black and white with black and white vertical stripe pattern. About fine book, with a touch of wrinkling to spine ends, and light offsetting to endpapers; near fine unclipped dust jacket, with very light toning to spine, a touch of soiling to panels, two small closed tears to top of rear panel, a small closed tear to bottom of front panel, lightly nicked corners, and price on jacket flap crossed-out with "5/-" written next to it in pen. Overall, a lovely copy, in a bright and fresh dust jacket. Dead Man's Folly is a murder-mystery featuring Christie's fictional Belgian detective Hercule Poirot and his novelist friend Ariadne Oliver. In this story, Poirot and Oliver lend their knowledge of criminal expertise to assist in the planning of a "Murder Hunt," or a game where the attendees attempt to solve a mock murder. However, the game takes a dark turn when one of the players turns up dead and Poirot and Oliver must investigate the sinister plan it concealed. Dead Man's Folly's case of mistaken identities and Poirot's insight into criminal psychology is classic Christie. Seller Inventory # AC094
