(London: The Reader's Library [undated] 1930). First UK Edition. The book of the film of the same name directed by Howard Hawks and starring Richard Barthelmess and Douglas Fairbanks Junior. Saunders won an Academy Award for Best Writing, Screenplay. Publisher's burgundy-mauve boards with gilt lettering and decoration. The usual browning to the pages due to the poor quality of paper used (only slightly better than newsprint) but strong hinges otherwise a VG+ copy. The fragile D/W is VG indeed with just a touch of edge-wear. Uncommon in this collector's condition. Seller Inventory # 355490717647
