About this Item
Hodder and Stroughton, London. 1939. 255 pages. First edition, first printing RARE DJ is present, including front, back, front flap and rear flap. Absent is the DJ spine. Still, it remains desirable even in poor condition, as these fragile DJ's just don't exist as they have all crumbled away. Blue cloth is bright with sunning along edges, and shelf-rubbing along edges. Endpapers show slight age-toning. An uncommon title in rare DJ chronicling the state of Libya, Egypt & Tunisia in the late 1930's, per celebrated journalist, war correspondent, and close friend of Emperor Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia, who later became godfather to the author's son. VG/poor. Seller Inventory # 003835
