1961. First Edition. 429 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth with gilt decoration. Black and white photographic plates and maps throughout, with colour fold out map to rear pastedown. Pages are lightly tanned, heavier to edges with noticeable foxing, but text remains clear. Plates are bright. Binding is slightly shaky, but all pages remain attached. Moderate marking and inscription to front free endpaper. Boards and spine have minimal shelf-wear, with mild corner bumping and crushing to ends. Gilt remains bright. Moderate rubbing and scuffing overall, with some noticeable marking also. Visible ring marks to front board. Seller Inventory # 1674571208DPB
