The debut novel, The Collector, was John Fowles's debut novel and achieved considerable success. The book was adapted for film in 1965 and the book remains a popular edition. Jacket designed by Tom Adams, the US-born Anglo-Scots illustrator and painter, who is recognised for his designs for Agatha Christie books. Rust coloured boards with red stained top edge of the pages. Mild lean. The contents are in good condition with some marks on some of the pages. The dust jacket is bright with only minimal darkening of the spine. Slight rubbing of the rear cover and folds. 8vo. 283pp. Seller Inventory # 000318
