First Edition 1868 hard to find copy of The Coinage of Suffolk, consisting of the Regal Coins, Leaden Pieces and Tokens of the Seventeenth, Eighteenth and Nineteenth Centuries. Together with notices of the mints and of some of the issuers of tokens, by Charles Golding with upwards of seventy illustrations. Original red cloth boards, sadly in poor condition. Tears and fading to the cloth particularly in the spine area. Faded gilt title to front cover with some creases to the cloth. The book needs rebinding/recovering, although complete, pages are loose. This is copy number 19 presented to Joseph Warren of Ixworth (an avid collector of antiquities) by the Author inserted into the front of the book. There is also a second inscription to the half title page. The book has been exposed to damp conditions at some point and has a damp/mould smell to it along with the occasional mould spot inside. Foxing is apparent throughout but most heavily at the front and back. Seller Inventory # 000640
