First edition, first impression, first state. Octavo, pp 168. Bound in green cloth covered hard boards and in the original dust jacket, un-clipped (10s 6d net). This is the first state with 'here' instead of 'her' at the top of page 29. Laid in are theatre programmes for productions of The Cocktail Party at (i) The New Theatre, St. Martin s Lane, May 1950 being the first London run (two copies), (ii) New Theatre, Oxford March 1951, and (iii) Theatre Royal Haymarket 1969 with Alec Guinness in the role of An Unidentified Guest. Very Good condition book with spotting to the endpapers in a Very Good jacket which has some wear to the spine ends. Seller Inventory # B6184
