An early copy of the beloved classic in scarce jacket likely from early 1960's based on books listed in series on back and 195/195 price on flap. In blue pictorial boards. Bottom corners bumped/split and small split to top front as well. Edgewear rubbing to board ends and spine ends which are dinged. Jacket is unclipped with some short tears around spine ends and adjacent portion of top rear board. In glossy blue pictorial boards with dings to heel of spine and bottom corners, ding/small split to bottom of rear board and small split to head of spine. Some wear to edges, spine ends and corners, but not excessive - overall a nice copy for the age of the beloved children's book. Interior clean and binding solid. Jacket is unclipped with B-1 to bottom of spine and "For Beginning Readers" on front panel. Splits to spine ends 1-2 inches with chipping and 1 inch split to top of rear flap crease, 3/4 inch arc tear to top of front flap crease. Wear to panel and spine edges. 3rd Printing.
