About this Item
This VG+ quality first edition book was published in 1935 by Grosset & Dunlap. It is 7-5/8" tall and has 216 numbered pages of text followed by 2 unnumbered pages of ads; it was the third title in this series to be bound in brown cloth with decorated end pages. This book is square, very clean, free of corner bumps and edge dings; head and heel of the spine are very lightly bumped with no fabric damage; the bottom edges have almost no wear. The interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and page damage of any type. The hinges are strong and not damaged in any way. The frontis is present and not damaged. The paper is mildly toned and a bit stiff but still flexible. The lists at the rear of the book list to title #16 in the Ted Scott series. The VG- quality jacket is reasonably clean. It has and small chips at both front corners and at the head and heel of the spine--there are also several small tears and folds at the head of the spine; there are 2 rather jagged small holes in the middle of the front gutter & gutter ridge--the binding is not damaged at those points. And at the top of the rear fold, there is a 1-1/2" tear with a fold that extends to the rear gutter. The list on the front flap the jacket lists to title #17 in the Ted Scott series.
