1962. Presumed first edition. Unpaginated but 28pp. and numerous colour illustrations. With the text in French, this is the sixth in a series of books featuring the adventures of the Swiss sailor Captain BEA. It contains a series of short stories, illustrated in colour in comic style, and Captain BEA finds himself back in time when the Swiss lived by the lakes - but it turns out to be a dream. The book is bound in the original paper covered boards with titling and a colour illustration on the front board and a red cloth spine. The case of the book is in very good condition with some shelf wear and light soiling on the boards. There is some light water staining on the front board and top and bottom edges of the rear board. The contents are tight and clean apart from a few small stains and marks from finger smudges, etc., and some faint water staining on the bottom edge of some of the pages. A few of the illustrations have been roughly coloured in pink felt-tip ink and one in black ink. There is no inscription. Seller Inventory # gBooksinFrench2
