First edition hardback, 1951, with unclipped jacket. Ex library book, only a couple of the usual stamps and labels, no pages removed. In overall good used condition with minor signs of age, handling and storage - dust jacket rubbed and tanned to spine and edges with large chip to spine (now protected); boards generally clean and crisp with a couple of old tape marks. Binding tight and appears little read. Internally clean, no annotation or inscriptions; toning to page-ends but text, illustrations and illustrated endpapers bright and clear throughout.
