Padded-leather covers with hard spine binding, gilt title on cover and spine. Marbled endpapers and on page tray. Essentially a decorative box for the folding pages and with a decorative leather cover. CONDITION DESCRIPTION: Light general wear to cover and edges, gilt bright. Internal pages with minor soiling, secure as published. CONTENTS DESCRIPTION: First these images are very nice. William Henry Jackson is one famous post-Civil War photographers in the West. He roamed the mountains and plains photographing for scenes, events, and natives. This publication is often found in a red or tan cloth binding with a snap closure. Here the alternate box-book design is used. This box-book design was offered in cloth covers. Here the same is in a more decorative leather binding, likely a special order or limited offering.
