About this Item
This is the cloth-bound hardcover First Edition of "Blue Enchantment : The Story of Crater Lake" by Wayland A. Dunham. The book about the famous lake at the heart of the eponymous Crater Lake National Park in Oregon, was published in 1942 by Caxton Printers of Caldwell, Idaho. Starting out with poetry by Mr. Dunham concerning the ancient Native American legends about the lake, the text then follows up with a complete guide to the lake including geological history and prominent physical attributes that lend to the charm and beauty of the area. The book is illustrated with 15 halftone photographs, three of which are in full color (These three, which includes the frontispiece, are printed on calendered paper).
