This is number 169." 6 in. x 9 in., frontispiece portrait of Hazlitt; xix, 135 pp. + colophon leaf; three other collotype plates, including a fold-out reproduction of a letter to Jeffrey, 1824, and numerous reproductions of the titlepages of books. The former owner, who was a Hazlitt collector (USA), has added marginal notes in pencil regarding Hazlitt items he owned, with bookseller's names, prices paid, date purchased, etc. Paper-covered boards, with the spine and sides in a light blue-gray paper with a mounted, printed title label in light gray paper, a gray paper-covered covers, top-edge stained gray; thin gray paper dustjacket with title printed at top of spine. Former owner's book label on the front paste-down. Upper spine end shows some wear, both lower cover corners are bumped with chipping to paper, endpapers show age-related tanning; dustjacket shows tanning, edge wear.
