1st Edition 1953. Also, cut out by Sassoon and slipped into the book, is a newspaper clipping of the poem ?How to get on in Society? by John Betjeman. From the Library of Siegfried Sassoon and Sold by Sotheby?s in 1991. The book carries the Sassoon monogram sticker inside the front cover as provenance that it was part of Sotheby?s sale of 1991 when books from Sassoon?s library were auctioned off.
