Sole edition of this Calvinist/Puritan treatise by a prominent member of the Westminster Assembly. The address "to the Reader" states that the book is "the summe of sundry Lectures deliuered in mine own Charge" St. Magnus, London, and that some had accused him of altering what he had preached before publishing it.
