About this Item
Small 8vo in original pebbled green cloth, ruled in gilt and with gilt bow-and-target devices to front board. PON "C. Garnett" in a hand of the era to FFE. Original pale canary endpapers and with narrow vertical strips of a heavier canary paper laid down to support the interior hinges, though these reinforcing strips are also ORIGINAL -- the small binder's tag "Bound by Bone & Son, / 76 Fleet Street, London" to rear pastedown is pasted ATOP this reinforcing strip. (Simiilar Bone & Son tags bearing same address found to other books of this era.) Book will close its own text block so would normally grade "very good," but we downgrade to "good-plus" due to the considerable rub to top outside board corners. Minor foxing to free endpapers, only. 128 pp. Reduced from $640. Seller Inventory # 009811
