Rear of dj with color reproduction of a drawing of Anatole bicycling passed the Eiffel Tower. Illustrated half-title and title-page. Delightful tale of the "mouse magnifique" Anatole and his friend Gaston in their quest to catch their furry enemy in a "cat trap." Profusely illustrated with color and b/w reproductions of drawings by Paul Galdone. In 1958, Titus and Caldone were nominated for the Caldecott Medal for this work. Slight chipping on head and tail of dj spine. Minor wear on corners and to parts of dj edges. Very slight abrasion on top-edge of pages 10 & 11. Tight copy with dj in good, book in very good condition. First edition ("Library Edition $ 2.75" printed on inside flap of dj). Seller Inventory # 32886
