HC, has faded spine, with slight tear at top, and binding showing beginnings of separation in front of title page. Book is otherwise tight and clean inside. Harbord commanded the Marine Brigade of the Second Division during the Belleau Wood battle, after which he became head of Services of Supply for the American Expeditionary Force. One of Pershing¿s toughest generals, he tells the entire story of the AEF with an inside view to the problems and personalities of the war. One of the greatest of the World War I memoirs.
