Scribners Sons, 1950. First Edition. Scribners A on title page verso (indicative of first edition) and p.21 Papadophi corrected to Papadopoli (from test prints of same year). No dust jacket. Boards of dark blue buckhram with gilt stamped signature ; spine lettering appear to be tonal or worn down, although. very difficult to tell. Spine has slight rubbing on top, but otherwise in very good condition. Pages slightly yellowed from age, otherwise book in very good condition! This book is one of Hemingway's lesser known, but still highly desirable work . It tells the story of Richard Cantwell, a duck hunter, who reminisces of his experiences during World War I.
